About

Who are we?

A passionate group of upperclassmen from the Denver-metro area committed to making environmental protection part of everyday life. We stand on the shoulders of pioneering, well-known, global environmental group: Earth Guardians. Crews like us collaborate around the world to bring solutions into action and results.

The Need to Grow documentary, fired us up to focus energy and action on the field of regenerative agriculture. Our crew spent the last three years studying soil health and how to make it easy for every household to be part of the solution to protecting our food security and re-stabilizing carbon emissions whilst enjoying the benefits on an individual level too.

And so we are thrilled to offer you the “EASY BUTTON” solution to composting that will turn your food waste into soil wonder – by providing a not for profit compost service that alleviates the hassle of buying and setting up a house-hold compost bin and provides support and step-by-step instruction and guidance on how to get the most out of your purchase.

We hope you’ll join us on our journey to improving the way we get rid of our household trash!

FAQ

What is the time commitment for maintenance?

The maximum time commitment per week is 7 minutes to aerate, water, and (if needed) sprinkle in some compost starter.

Will my compost smell?

If you aerate your compost at least once per 2 weeks, AND if you do NOT put any fish, meat, or dairy products in your compost bin then the compost should not smell.

How much is it going to cost?

The cost for an installation is $212.99. The price per cubic yard of store-bought compost can reach up to $35! If you follow the guidelines provided you should expect 94 gallons of high-quality compost. You should fully recover your investment in 24-36mths AND save 132 lbs of CO2 from the atmosphere every year you compost.

How soon will I be able to harvest my compost?

This really all depends on you–it can take anywhere from 3 months to two years. If you follow the maintenance guides (included with each installation) “to the T” during the spring and summer months your harvest time will be much closer to 3 months.

What do I need to do before my appointment?

We recommend you do two things:

  1. Choose an area in your back-yard in which you’re willing to place the compost bin. Ensure this area gets plenty of sunlight
  2. Startup a second trash can that is dedicated solely to compostable trash. A flyer indicating what to, and what not to, put in your compost will be sent along with your payment request.
